For more than 30 years, the Riverdale Parent Teacher Club (“PTC”) has had the happy job of welcoming new and returning families to our Grade School community each Fall.  This year, we do so again under unfamiliar circumstances.  Our district is known for its strong and involved parent community.  The pandemic has awakened us to the true essence of life.  Together we create the village that helps to raise our kids and strengthen our community.

We are focusing more than ever on our mission “to enrich Riverdale’s K-8 education by curriculum activities, encouraging parent involvement, supporting student participation, and fostering communication to strengthen our community.”

We are striving to fulfill this mission in new ways and continue the proud Riverdale traditions of community spirit, creativity, and excellence.  Right from the start, new families have many opportunities to connect with other parents and students in their child’s grade. Your PTC is busy planning safe and healthy programs, events, and activities to support our students, parents, and staff.  Like always, we look to you to help us along the way.

This year, electronic communications will be more important than ever to keep us connected, so please check your emails and the PTC website, www.riverdaleptc.org, for news about what we’re doing and what you can do to make us stronger.  We need your help in our community-building efforts and we encourage all families to be creative in staying connected to each other and our school.

We are so glad to have you with us and look forward to supporting your family and our school together.

Sincerely,

Judy, Courtnee, Alexia, Shelyea, Michele, Shannon & Jon
