As entertainment and education becomes increasingly driven by, and dependent upon, devices, children’s brains, relationships, and senses of self are short changed. Information regarding the neurological, social, and intrapersonal impact of technology-only entertainment will be presented and ideas given about how to enhance family relationships, minimize potential risk, and develop genuine and appropriate levels of self esteem and interpersonal relatedness in children. The impact of technology only entertainment and over-reliance on technology for adults will be addressed as well along with corresponding ideas regarding minimizing risk of dependence, addition, and other negative impacts. THIS IS NOT A TECHNOLOGY AVERSE PROGRAM. This is all about embracing the great parts of technology and moderating our use.
Space for this program is NOT limited, but please RVSP to Jennifer Novak so we can make accommodations for all that wish to attend.
