Please join us for an informative talk on the dangers of the Internet and social media for our kids. BJ Park, a Deputy District Attorney with the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office, will provide parents suggestions on how to talk to their kids about the Internet and social media, and he will give practical recommendations on how to help ensure kids stay safe. BJ’s talk will draw from real world examples that he has seen as a prosecutor.
BJ currently prosecutes serious violent crimes. He specializes in cases involving child sex offenses and the Internet, technology, and social media. BJ also is cross-designated as a federal prosecutor on these types of cases. He has been a prosecutor for more than 20 years, with his prior work including serving as a prosecutor in Chicago for 15 years and at the Oregon Department of Justice for 5 years.
