Collage and Decoupage (RGS, Winter 2019)

Description:

Collage and Decoupage

Wow – two very fancy words…  What do they mean?  In the collage section of the course we will create fabulous pieces of original art on real canvas using nothing but acrylic paint and clippings from magazines and newspapers.  You will be amazed at what you can create using little bits and pieces of colored paper and arranging them to form a larger image – your art piece!  During our decoupage segment we will be decorating useful every-day items such as flower pots, picture frames, and boxes also using images on paper and then preserving them with acrylic, so you can enjoy them for a long time to come!  What to bring to class: any magazines or catalogues htat would otherwise just end up in the recycling bin, best are fashion and/or home decorating magazines, catalogues and such – and the patience to complete a longer term project.  Some “homework” may be required.  You will never have to hear not to use so much glue – the instructor will tell you to use more!

I wouldn’t miss this one, if I were you!
